People Power lawmaker Ray Chan said he had gone to accident and emergency on Friday after being dragged along the floor in Legco by pro-Beijing legislator Kwok Wai-keung.
"I'm in the ER. I was terrorised by Kwok Wai-keung's unprovoked & violent assault in Legco," a post on Chan's Twitter account said.
"Kwok's behaviour shows his & Federation of Trade Union's true colors: members of the pro-China industrial organization incited riots & planted murderous explosives across Hong Kong in 1967," Chan added.
A photo posted on Facebook showed Chan was at Ruttonjee Hospital.
TV cameras had caught the moment when Kwok grabbed Chan by the collar of his shirt and dragged him several metres through a conference room until the pro-democracy legislator was lying on the ground.
Fellow pan-dems then rushed to Chan's aid and helped him up.
The incident happened amid chaotic scenes in a Legco House Committee meeting that saw various scuffles, as well as Chan and several other pan-democrats being ejected by security guards.
The People Power lawmaker had spent some time running around the room barefoot.
Democratic Party legislator Andrew Wan also appeared to have been injured during the commotion and he was taken away on a stretcher by an ambulance crew.
