Protesters are organising a march in Yuen Long this Saturday, demanding an independent probe into the violence that occurred at the MTR station on Sunday.

This comes as some residents in a show of defiance put up a so-called "Lennon Wall" at the station, which also showed posters alleging lawmaker Junius Ho was linked to events.

Yuen Long resident, Max Chung, said he has applied for police approval for the Saturday's rally on behalf of the protesters.

He called the Sunday incident a “cross-border terrorist attack” as some of them spoke Putonghua or with different accents than the villagers.

Chung said the proposed route for Saturday's march was via Yuen Long main road to the MTR station and won’t pass through the villages.

He said he is not worried there’ll be violence as Hong Kong protesters have shown that they are well behaved during marches.

Chung, who held talks with police for about 90 minutes, said the main concern from the officers were local traffic situation and Light Rail arrangements.

He will meet the officers again at 5pm on Wednesday to discuss more.

Chung said police didn’t mention if they will strengthen security during march. But he said the organisers on the other hand said will be arranging around 100 volunteers to maintain order.

He said he has applied for a letter of no objection that is valid till midnight on Saturday.

Chung said if the authorities don't issue letter of no objection, he himself will show up and march along the route.
