    Protesters greet Paul Chan ahead of budget

Protesters of various hues greeted Financial Secretary Paul Chan as he arrived in Legco on Wednesday to present his budget on Wednesday.

Dozens of people chanted slogans trying to make their various demands heard.

The protesters were from several different groups and parties, including the Federation of Trade Unions, People Power, the League of Social Democrats and the Alliance of Universal Pensions.

Their demands included more education subsidies, a relaxation of the thresholds for various allowances, public housing rent waivers and universal retirement protection.
