The body of a senior constable who was killed last month while handling a traffic accident on the East Kowloon Corridor has been laid to rest at Gallant Garden.

Dozens of police officers and principal officials, including Chief Executive Carrie Lam and Secretary for Security John Lee, had earlier attended Lum Hoi-wan's funeral in Hung Hom.

Lum’s body was also driven to the scene of the accident and then to the Traffic Kowloon West Operational Base, where he was stationed.

On March 22, Lum, who was 51, was packing up his gear and preparing to leave the scene of an accident when he was hit by a truck near Wo Chung Street.
