Scores of riot police have marched down Hennessy Road to clear barricades in Causeway Bay.
Several rounds of tear gas were fired as officers marched towards Wan Chai. Most protesters had already retreated from the main road.
The street was plunged into a cloud of tear gas.
Riot police in Wong Tai Sin have also fired tear gas to disperse a crowd pointing laser pens at officers on a footbridge. Protesters retreated several metres away. The part of Lung Cheung Road in the area remained closed after protesters blocked the road with barricades
