Police are investigating the death of a 66-year-old man who was found with stab wounds at a hotel in North Point.
Officers said the man, who suffered wounds to his neck and chest, was found by staff at the Harbour Grand who went to check on him on Sunday.
The man's son had reported losing contact with his father who had rented the room since April.
Two knives were found at the scene. Police said there was no sign of fighting or a robbery and no suicide note was found.
Detective chief inspector Kong Sze-wan said initial investigations found the man had not left the room since August 27 and no one had entered it.
