  • Police arrest man in connection with bomb attacks

Police arrested a man in connection to two petrol bomb attacks that took place at Wanchai and Happy Valley respectively on Friday.

Officers intercepted a black car in North Point and arrested the man after a chase.

The first attack happened at about 3am, in which police say a man threw a petrol bomb at a police car outside police headquarters in Wanchai.

The man fled the scene by car, and no one was injured.

Hours later, the suspect allegedly threw another petrol bomb at the Happy Valley Police Station.

The device was thrown at about 4pm.

A wall and the floor outside the station were blackened.

Eyewitnesses saw broken glass at the scene and noted a smell of petrol.
