Police said on Tuesday they had arrested five students on suspicion of slapping a 12-year-old girl multiple times.

Officers said the alleged incident took place on a rooftop in Tsuen Wan on Saturday.

A video apparently showing the assault later circulated on the internet.

Officers said they had arrested five females aged between 12 and 19 on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The police said their initial investigation suggested the alleged assault could be linked to an online dispute.
