Police have arrested three people from the same family for allegedly possessing a handgun, along with almost 400 bullets and other accessories.
Officers said they raided a unit in Yuen Long on Tuesday and arrested the trio, aged between 38 and 65, after uncovering the items.
Superintendent Raymond Chou of the Narcotics Bureau said the three, believed to be a couple and the son, allegedly purchased gun parts from overseas websites and assembled them in Hong Kong.
Chou said investigations are ongoing to try to find a motive.
