Police on Saturday arrested 43 people and seized drugs worth more than HK$30,000 at an unlicensed bar in Tsim Sha Tsui.

Officers raided the unit on Austin Avenue early in the morning.

A 46-year-old man, who was running the bar, has been arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking, selling alcohol without a licence, and violating the Prevention and Control of Disease Regulation.

Three members of staff and 39 customers were also arrested.

Officers seized 28 bottles of spirits and over 200 cans of beer, as well as drugs including ketamine and cocaine.

The government has ordered all bars and pubs to close after dozens of Covid-19 cases were found to be linked to such venues.
