Police say they have arrested a 15-year-old boy in connection with a suspected case of arson in Prince Edward.

The force says patrol officers passing by the intersection of Nathan Road and Boundary Street saw four people throwing petrol bombs and plastic tubes fitted with nails at around 11.15pm on Friday night.

They later arrested the teenager at the location, saying they had found a suspected petrol bomb, a lighter, as well as glass bottles and plastic tubes fitted with nails.

Police say they are hunting for three other males aged around 16 to 30 years old.

Media reports say the attackers were throwing petrol bombs at a police vehicle.
