Hong Kong on Sunday reported two more imported coronavirus cases, involving people coming from India.

The latest patients are a 12-year-old girl, who was asymptomatic, and a 38-year-old man who has fallen ill. Both came to Hong Kong from India on Saturday.

No local cases were reported. There has not been a locally-transmitted case for 15 days now.

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases here in Hong Kong stood at 1,199.

The Centre for Health Protection says the coronavirus situation remains "severe".

A spokesman urged members of the public to avoid non-essential travel outside of Hong Kong.
