The government on Wednesday said it had found five Covid infections and eight undetermined cases after an overnight lockdown of a residential block in Tuen Mun.
Some 940 people from Tip Sum House at Butterfly Estate were tested.
A Kwai Chung housing block has now also been locked down for Covid screening, with officials citing a range of factors for the move, including sewage samples there testing positive for the coronavirus.
Residents of Hong Yam House at On Yam Estate are required to get tested.
The operation is expected to end at 11am on Thursday.
