Over 1,300 Preliminary Covid Cases Found In Lockdowns

Health officials on Tuesday said they had picked up 1,309 preliminary Covid cases during overnight lockdowns of seven housing blocks in Kwun Tong, Tsing Yi, Sha Tin, Tung Chung and Yuen Long.
Some 8,880 people in Sau Yin House in Sau Mau Ping Estate, Chun Ho House at Ching Chun Court, Shun Wo House at Wo Che Estate, Fuk Yat House and Yu Yat House at Yat Tung (I) Estate and Heng Fu House and Heng Chi House at Tin Heng Estate were tested.
Officials said 382 infections were found in Kwun Tong, 45 in Tsing Yi, 200 in Sha Tin, 254 in Tung Chung and 428 in Yuen Long.
The government said it has distributed food packs for people who need to be sent to hospital or isolation facilities, and disinfection products and surgical masks for those waiting for follow-up arrangements.
