Police say they have arrested the founder of an online media company in connection with a wounding case last December.

The force confirmed that the founder of PPPN international, Ng Wing-tak, was arrested in Wan Chai on October 1.

The 34-year-old has since been released on bail pending further investigation by the force’s national security department.

Ng had participated and lost in the 2015 District Council and 2016 Legislative Council elections.

He had also organised a march in Tai Kok Tsui in August last year to protest against the government's now-withdrawn extradition bill.
