Another airport staff member has gone down with measles, bringing the total number of cases this year to 33.
The Centre for Health Protection said on Saturday that the patient is a 26-year-old woman who works at Cathay Pacific’s headquarters at the airport.
The woman said she had previously been vaccinated against the disease and hadn't recently travelled outside Hong Kong.
She developed a fever five days ago followed by a rash a few days later. She is now in stable condition.
The centre said members of her family weren't showing any symptoms. They have been put under medical surveillance.
More than one-third of the cases diagnosed with measles in Hong Kong so far this year are airport or airline staff, and since last week, special vaccination booths have been set up at the airport to innoculate staff.
