Judy Chen talks to RTHK's Richard Pyne

Ocean Park will hold its annual conservation day this weekend, with a call for a reduction in the use of disposable plastics.

Along with the event to be held on Saturday and Sunday, the park will also launch a series of interactive animal experiences – called Animal Discovery Fest – which aims to raise visitors' awareness and appreciation of wildlife.

The proceeds on Saturday will go to the Ocean Park Conservation Foundation. Last year, HK$3.9 million was raised to support their conservation and research efforts.

The foundation's chair, Judy Chen, told RTHK's Richard Pyne that they're planning to expand their "no straw" campaign, and hope to ban plastic straws in the park completely in the near future.
