NPC Delegate Peter Wong Dies, Aged 70

Peter Wong, a member of Hong Kong's delegation to the nation's parliament and a veteran entrepreneur, has died at the age of 70.
Wong had attended this year's meeting of the National People's Congress in Beijing, but was admitted to hospital after arriving in the capital on March 2 and returned to Hong Kong on March 4.
According to his brother, Mr Wong's family was by his side when he passed away at Queen Mary Hospital on Monday evening.
Fellow deputy Wong Yuk-shan praised Peter Wong's contribution to the country and Hong Kong. He said Peter Wong would be missed, and all the deputies send their heartfelt condolences to his family.
Mr Wong studied in the United States before starting a long career in the business sector. He chaired Culture Resources, a successful hotel and tour operator and served as a director of a number of high-profile businesses, including MGM China.
