In an interview with i-Cable, Carrie Lam said she would be opting for Sinovac for her booster.

Chief Executive Carrie Lam says the government has no plans to add a tracking function to the LeaveHomeSafe Covid-19 app, but people would need to upload their check-in records if they want to avoid quarantine when they travel to the mainland in future.

In an interview with i-Cable, she also said she would be opting for Sinovac for her booster because she had suffered no side-effects after her first and second Sinovac shots.

Government experts have recommended that people opt for BioNTech for their third dose for a better immune response, though people can still choose Sinovac if they want.

Authorities had announced that from November 11, Covid booster shots will be available for various high-risk groups, including people with compromised immune systems and those aged 60 and above.

Bookings will open on Friday.
