Overnight Covid lockdowns have come to an end at three housing blocks in Tin Shui Wai, Tsuen Wan, and Cheung Sha Wan, after three residents had earlier tested preliminary positive for the coronavirus. Over 3,000 people were tested and no new cases were found at any of the blocks.

On Thursday evening, authorities sealed off Shing Him House at Tin Shing Court, Tower 1 of New Haven on Sha Tsui Road, and Cheung Yan House on Cheung Sha Wan Estate. Residents were then ordered to get tested.

The Tin Shui Wai case involves a 30-year-old woman, who bought a hamster on January 11 at the Little Boss pet shop in Causeway Bay. She had had contact with a staff member there, who has also contracted Covid.

The Tsuen Wan and Cheung Sha Wan cases involve a 37-year-old man and a 24-year-old man respectively.
