No Covid Cases Found In Lohas Park Lockdown

Health authorities on Tuesday morning completed their compulsory Covid testing exercise at a residential block in Lohas Park in Tseung Kwan O. In a statement, the government said, as of 1 am, around 1,340 residents had been tested and no confirmed cases had been found.
The block had been sealed off as a precaution at about 7 pm on Monday. The lockdown was sparked by a 42-year-old woman testing preliminary positive for the coronavirus. She had arrived back in the SAR on Sunday, following a short trip to the US.
The woman had tested negative before leaving Hong Kong but the length of the trip was shorter than the incubation period, prompting health authorities here to act.
Her preliminary positive test suggested she had been infected with the L452R mutation, which is present in the highly contagious delta variant, as well as others.
Officials yesterday classified the case as imported. She had been fully vaccinated.
Compulsory testing orders have also been issued for the woman's workplace in Hung Hom.
