A new operator will take over minibus routes 2 and 2A running from Hung Hom to Kowloon Tong, after the original operator ended its service on Friday.

It had cited lost revenue because of the coronavirus outbreak and the anti-government protests as the reason for stopping the operation of green minibus number 2 and 2A, as well as two lines from Hung Hom to Tsim Sha Tsui, 6 and 6X.

The new operator will take over for the time being starting from Saturday.

Some drivers on the number 2 route said they were happy since this means they get to keep their jobs - at least for now. Other drivers were not so lucky.
