The MTR says all train services, except for the Airport Express, will end at 11 pm on Monday as it continues to repair vandalism to stations caused by anti-government protesters. The Airport Express will run as normal.
The railway operator said the decision had been made in conjunction with government departments.
On Sunday, all train services ended at 10 pm, though Mong Kok Station and Yau Ma Tei Station closed earlier after a petrol bomb was thrown and fires started near entrances in Mong Kok.
Protesters have frequently targeted MTR stations. They accuse the company of helping the government to suppress the protests.
MTR stations, which under normal conditions shut their doors at about 1 am, have been closing earlier in recent weeks. Officials deny that closing the stations amounts to a de facto curfew.
The MTR also said service hours may shortened, if the situation demands.
