MTR Shuts Tuen Mun Station, Crowd Gather For Rally

A large group of people arrived at the San Wo Lane Playground in Tuen Mun to take part in a protest march even as MTR closed down the station in the area, citing safety of passengers and staff.
At 1pm, the staff of the MTR first posted notices saying the station has been closed temporarily the various exits and requested all remaining passengers to leave the station.
A large number of MTR staff were present to guide them while public announcements were also made repeatedly. A large contingent of armed police were also present at the station.
Some people criticized the arrangement of the MTR, saying it was an unreasonable decision.
The crowd that have arrived at the playground is to take part in a march to protest against noise pollution and other illegal activities of some people at the Tuen Mun Park.
