The government said late on Sunday that more than 430 000 people have signed up online for the Universal Community Testing Programme (UCTP) since bookings opened.
It said that out of these it had received eight complaints involving suspected fraudulent use of others people's personal data, and three of these had been referred to the police and the bookings were cancelled.
It said 80 community testing centres were fully booked for Tuesday, when the UCTP opens, accounting for more than half of all the 141 community testing centres.
It also said that for the period from September 1 to September 7, five community testing centres are fully booked: Sau Mau Ping Community Hall, Yau Tong Community Hall, Sheung Tak Community Hall, Sha Kok Community Hall and Ma On Shan Sports Centre.
However, it said there were still places available at other community testing centres.
