  • More preliminary Covid cases found in Tuen Mun block

Health officials said on Monday that they have picked up another 15 preliminary positive Covid-19 cases in a lockdown of a block of Tai Hing Estate in Tuen Mun.

Hing Tai House had been under lockdown for two nights because sewage samples there contained the coronavirus.

Officials had detected 11 preliminary positive cases the day before.

The government said the 15 latest cases were among more than 5,500 people tested.

The operation also found one case that's indeterminate for now.

Those who tested negative can leave the building once they could produce relevant proof.

The government is also sending staff to visit nearly 1,400 households for follow up, among which about a hundred did not answer the door.
