Several lucky pedestrians cheated death by a whisker on Wednesday after a car, apparently out of control, zoomed past inches away from them before ramming into two parked vehicles in Tsim Sha Tsui.
CCTV footage of the incident that happened around noon show a Tesla, travelling at high speed along Minden Avenue, crashing into two vans parked on Blenheim Avenue, as the pedestrians were crossing the street.
The car whizzes past a couple of them who are seen jumping back in alarm as the vehicle crashes into the parked vans.
A driver who was inside one of the vans, as well as another driver who was outside his vehicle were injured and were taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
The Tesla and one of the vans were severely damaged, and the force of the collision punched a small hole in the wall of a restaurant.
Police said the Tesla driver claimed there was something wrong with the car's brake.
