Police have arrested a 33-year-old security guard suspected of indecently assaulting four women after apparently luring them into shooting a martial arts instructional video on the pretence that it was an audition for an acting job.
The suspect allegedly posted information about bogus auditions online, before meeting up with women who responded at Sha Tin Park, and by the Yuen Wo Road Sports Centre over the past month.
Police say there, he indecently assaulted four people aged between 17 and 52. The alleged victims include a student, a model and an extra.
Police say the man was arrested at Wo Che Estate in Sha Tin on Tuesday.
Officers say they believe there are more victims who haven’t contacted the authorities yet, and urged them to come forward.
Police say preliminary investigations suggest the man has no qualifications in teaching martial arts, nor does he have anything to do with the entertainment industry.
He has said he is a security guard who picked up Taekwondo briefly.
