Police said on Saturday that a man had allegedly tried to run away from a quarantine camp at Penny’s Bay but was eventually subdued by officers.

A spokesman from the force said officers were called in for help at around 10am on Saturday, after the 36-year-old American left his room before the completion of his quarantine period.

The man was emotional and uncooperative and was later taken to the North Lantau Hospital for medical check-ups, the spokesman said.
