A man appeared in court on Wednesday for allegedly visiting a restaurant on purpose after testing positive for Covid via a rapid test.
The 28-year-old is accused of exposing others to infection by visiting a branch of Genki Sushi in Plaza Hollywood in Diamond Hill on February 28, although he was aware he was infected with the coronavirus.
The Kowloon City court denied bail to the defendant, and postponed the hearing to April 20 for the police to conduct further investigation and seek legal advice.
