Police are investigating the death of a 40-year-old man in a traffic accident in Tsuen Wan early on Monday morning.

Officers said a taxi was travelling along Castle Peak Road towards Tuen Mun, when it knocked down the man who was crossing the road.

The man was rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital with head and leg injuries and was later declared dead.

Police have arrested a 58-year-old man on suspicion of dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
