A woman was arrested on Saturday on suspicion of dangerous driving causing death following a fatal traffic accident in Tuen Mun just past 8.30 in the morning.

Police say a 55 year-old man was struck while he was crossing Tai Fong Street, before the car collided with a Light Rail train by the Tai Hing (South) station.

The man was certified dead after he was rushed unconscious to Tuen Mun hospital. The driver of the vehicle, 47, also sustained waist and leg injuries.

She has been released on bail but will be required to report back to the police in late April.

Police have appealed to any witnesses to come forward.
