The Labour Department is investigating a fatal accident at a construction site in Happy Valley.
The accident happened on Monday afternoon when a man, who was working at the site, was hit by a beam while operating an excavator. He was later certified dead after being rushed to hospital.
The department has issued suspension notices to the contractors and stopped the use of excavators and similar machinery.
It said it would take legal action if there had been any violation of work safety legislation.
