A 56-year-old man has been charged with murder over the killing of his neighbour in Wong Tai Sin.
Police say they suspect financial disputes were linked to the stabbing of the 53-year-old who had suffered deep cuts on different parts of his body, including his neck and the back of his head.
He was found unconscious on the corridor outside his flat at the Chuk Yuen South Estate on Tuesday afternoon and died at the hospital later.
Police said the deceased and the arrested person had known each other for years. Officers said they are still investigating the case.
They said some other residents in the estate called them after they saw two men fighting on the corridor. Officers also said they have recovered a 23cm-long knife.
