A Yuen Long man has been charged with attacking and illegally detaining his former landlord, and possessing unlicensed weapons.
Police say they received a report from villagers on Friday morning about a 54-year-old woman being held up at her container house in Pat Heung.
Even though the suspect had fled and the woman had freed herself before officers even arrived, they were able to track the suspect and arrest him at his Yuen Long flat the same night.
Police say a number of weapons were seized, including 19 short air guns and 41 long air guns, two pairs of handcuffs, four bows, an extendable baton as well as a bottle of pepper spray solution.
Officers say they believe the 52-year-old is a former tenant of the container house who moved out last month after an argument with the victim, his landlord.
Police have charged him with seven counts including false imprisonment, theft, assault as well as possession of arms and ammunition without a licence.
He's due to appear in court on Monday.
