Sources told RTHK that a man has been arrested on Lamma Island on Wednesday over the death of a taxi driver in Sai Ying Pun the day before.
Police started the manhunt after the driver was attacked and wounded in the neck, when his vehicle arrived at the intersection of Eastern Street and Queen's Road West early Tuesday morning.
The 48-year-old driver died after he was rushed to hospital.
Officers had seized a chopper, which they believe was used in the attack.
