Health authorities on Wednesday identified 1,197 preliminary positive cases after locking down several blocks in Sham Shui Po, Kwun Tong, Wong Tai Sin, Sha Tin, Tuen Mun and Tsing Yi.

 

The operation in Tin Chu House of Shun Tin Estate detected 276 cases.

 

294 infections were picked up in the operation in Sin Sam House of Lung Hang Estate, and another 77 test results were indeterminate.

 

The test results of 227 residents of Fu Yuen House in Chuk Yuen South Estate and 209 residents of Tip Ling House in Butterfly Estate also returned positive.

 

Lai Kuk House of Lai Kok Estate and Hang Chun House of Cheung Hang Estate, meanwhile, found 86 and 105 cases respectively.

Separately, authorities have locked down a few buildings in Sha Tin, Tuen Mun, Tsing Yi, Wong Tai Sin and Kwun Tong for Covid testing, saying sewage samples from the blocks tested positive for Covid.

The government said it aims to complete the operations in Wai Sam House of Lung Hang Estate, Block 6 of Po Tin Estate, Hang Yee House of Cheung Hang Estate, Kwai Yuen House of Chuk Yuen (South) Estate, Tip Yee House of Butterfly Estate and Tin Wan House of Shun Tin Estate at around 1pm on Thursday.
