Lawyers for a woman, who alleges she was raped by police officers at Tsuen Wan police station, say the force appears to have systematically worked to discredit her and undermine her criminal complaint.
Vidler and Co solicitors says "Ms X" made her complaint with the expectation it would be investigated with impartiality and in strict confidence, adding she has made no public comment and sought no publicity.
However, her lawyers say the police have deliberately leaked supposed details of the case, in an attempt to diminish the prospects of a successful prosecution.
"Ms X" says attempts to publicly discredit a rape victim should be condemned in the strongest terms, and she has formed the view that the police cannot be trusted to impartially investigate her allegations or any criminal complaints relating to police officers.
She demands the police immediately cease the leaking of information and for her privacy to be respected.
