Police officers have failed to arrest Democratic Party lawmaker Lam Cheuk-ting as planned, after the lawmaker spent the night in Legco

Lam is one of the seven pro-democracy lawmakers who have been notified by the force that they will be arrested for disrupting a Legco meeting vetting the anti-extradition bill in May.

Officers went to his Sha Tin home on Sunday morning only to discover that Mr Lam wasn't there.

Lam later received a call from the police requesting him to leave the complex, where police powers are limited. He rejected the request.
