Hong Kong people will get their first detailed look at John Lee's policy platform on Friday morning as the sole contender in next month's election for Chief Executive publishes his manifesto.

Lee's campaign team says it will publish details of the manifesto on his online platforms at 11am, the same time he holds a briefing with representatives of community and grassroots groups from across Hong Kong at the Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai.

The former chief secretary and security minister had previously said that his proposals would all be underpinned by his broader philosophy of being results-oriented, boosting Hong Kong’s competitiveness and shoring up the SAR's developmental foundation.

The SAR's next leader will be elected on May 8.
