The government on Thursday condemned people who spread rumours that the Tsing Yi isolation facility hospital is equipped with toilets without partitions.
In a statement issued in the evening, a spokesman for the Security Bureau (SB) noted there are claims online that toilets in the Tsing Yi community isolation facility for Covid-19 patients are without any partitions.
The spokesman said the photo being circulated online does not show a toilet in the facility.
“The SB reaffirmed that although Tsing Yi community isolation facility was completed in just seven days, the pedestal and squat-type toilets inside are all independent compartments,” the spokesman said.
The statement added showers also come with hot water supply.
“The SB strong condemns individuals who deliberately mislead members of the public by publishing the inaccurate photo,” it said.
