Police on Saturday said they are in receipt of a complaint that alleges that a woman was raped at Tsuen Wan Police Station in September, but said the accusations are inconsistent with findings of its preliminary investigations.
The force says its complaints unit received a report on November 22 from the legal representative of the woman.
It said, taking into the seriousness of the allegation, the crime unit of its New Territories South Regional Headquarters is investigating the matter.
Meanwhile the Hospital Authority said it will not comment on individual cases when enquired about some chat groups posting unconfirmed claims that the woman underwent an abortion at Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
