Police on Tuesday extended bail for pro-democracy activist Agnes Chow who was arrested last month under the national security law.
She hasn't been charged with anything, and will remain on bail until December 2—the day before her 24th birthday – when she will be required to report back to police at the Tai Po Police Station.
“Actually December 3 is my birthday – it’s my 24th birthday and my only wish is that I could go back home after [reporting back to police] on December 2 and I could have my 24th birthday at home”, Chow told journalists after emerging from the station on Tuesday afternoon.
Chow – a former core member of the now disbanded group Demosisto – said she was again made to give a statement that was recorded on tape, but she can't say anymore about it for legal reasons.
