Kwok Ka-ki spoke to RTHK's Joanne Wong

The Chief Executive of the Hospital Authority, Leung Pak-yin, will leave the post next year, after nine years in the job.

The authority said it had already started looking for a replacement. Leung's contract expires in November 2019.

Civic Party lawmaker and doctor, Kwok Ka-ki, said Leung has been an efficient leader and there have no major incidents at the authority under his watch.

But Kwok told RTHK's Joanne Wong that Leung had failed to tackle the long-standing problem of a lack of cooperation between hospital clusters.

"It's quite disappointing to me that he cannot solve the issue of the very political, geographical disparity between individual clusters of the Hospital Authority, which in fact has hampered the development of various services in the whole territory," Kwok said.
