Tin Shui Wai Hospital on Monday evening made an appeal for the public to help locate a Covid-19 patient.

A spokesman said the 48-year-old man was being transferred from Pok Oi Hospital to continue his treatment under isolation, but he ran away when the ambulance arrived at Tin Shui Wai Hospital.

The hospital said it had alerted the police after paramedics and hospital staff failed to stop him.

The spokesman said the patient was around 1.7 metres tall with a slim build. He was wearing a green checkered shirt and black pants but was barefoot.
