Health authorities reported no new local Covid-19 infections on Saturday, with all 17 fresh cases being imported from overseas.
Eleven of the confirmed cases entered the city from India, two were from Indonesia and the rest of the patients flew in from the Philippines, Pakistan, Morocco, and France.
The latest infections bring the city's tally of confirmed cases to 5,237.
It's been over a fortnight since the city last saw no new local cases, apart from the day after tropical storm Nangka hit Hong Kong and disrupted testing and specimen collection services.
Nevertheless, officials urged members of the public to stay vigilant, saying the pandemic situation remains severe and there is a continuous increase in the number of cases reported around the world.
