Hong Kong on Friday posted the city's 16th coronavirus-related death.
The victim was a 74-year-old man who died at United Christian Hospital.
The man had been a resident of an elderly care home in Tsz Wan Shan at the centre of a recent outbreak. He was admitted to hospital on July 9, and his conditions worsened with his renal and liver functions deteriorating rapidly before he passed away shortly before 1pm on Friday.
United Christian Hospital offered condolences to the man's family and promised to offer assistance to them.
Most of the Covid-related deaths in Hong Kong so far involved elderly patients.
