Commuters heading into work on Tuesday morning could find their journeys disrupted, as Hong Kong tries to recover from a day of protests and violence that saw a protester shot at close range by police and a man voicing pro-Beijing views set on fire.
At least nine universities have cancelled classes, citing potential traffic delays.
The MTR - which on Monday closed around 20 stations early - says Sai Wan Ho and Kwai Fong stations will not open at the start of service. Train services, though, will still end at 11.30 pm.
And with protests continuing into the early morning, a number night bus services were cancelled with the disruption expected to spill over into some day-time bus services.
