Hong Kong Disneyland reopened on Thursday after months of closure because of the Covid-19 outbreak.

Around a dozen excited visitors lined up outside the park ahead of its reopening, with some saying they are looking forward to seeing the performances inside.

The theme park will be running at reduced capacity, with guests having to book their visit online.

People who turned up had to make a health declaration, undergo temperature screening, and wear a face mask in the park.

The park authorities were also making frequent announcements reminding everyone to practice social distancing.

Visitors will not be allowed to get too close to Disney characters, but will be able to take pictures from a distance, and parades have been temporarily suspended.

Hong Kong Disneyland has been closed since January because of the coronavirus outbreak. The announcement comes after Ocean Park re-opened on Saturday.
