HK Records 12 More Imported Omicron Cases

Hong Kong reported 12 new imported Omicron cases on Wednesday, raising the tally in the city to 70.
Health officials also announced a decision to ban Cathay Pacific from operating passenger flights from Los Angeles and Toronto for two weeks till January 11, after four passengers from Los Angeles and three from Toronto tested positive on arrival.
Separately, officials also recorded 14 new imported Covid-19 cases.
Tower 6 of The Belcher's in Pok Fu Lam has been put under a mandatory testing order. A 15-year-old girl who lives there has tested positive for the virus since returning from a trip to the US.
